Who We Are

Faith in Action: How We Serve

At Oasis Ministry Feeding Minds, we serve as an extension of God’s love to the earth’s desperate places. Like a true oasis in the wilderness, we are called to share the gift of life, providing relief, restoration, and renewal to those who need it most.

Our work is rooted in three simple words: Faith. Food. Foundation.

Faith:

Everything we do begins with faith. We walk in obedience to God’s call, reaching out to impoverished villages, forgotten schools, and struggling pastors across the world. Our team of missionaries, pastors, and partners brings the hope of Jesus Christ to communities that are spiritually hungry and thirsty.

Food:

Hunger doesn’t just touch the body; it touches the soul. We have helped support feeding programs, school meal initiatives, and food distribution efforts for children and families in places like Haiti and Sierra Leone. Every plate served is a reminder that God sees, God cares, and God provides.

Foundation:

Education is one of the most powerful tools for lasting change. But we go deeper than classrooms. We help build minds. Through school construction projects, sanitation improvements, and empowerment programs for women, we’re equipping entire communities to grow in wisdom, skills, and dignity.

When Jesus said, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for Me,” He gave us our assignment. And we are answering the call every day.

Oasis Ministry Feeding Minds began with a holy discomfort that settled in the heart of Pastor Widmy Mervilus. As a Haitian-born outreach minister with decades of mission experience, he had seen firsthand what many overlook: communities left behind, children forgotten, and women suffering in silence. But in prayer, God made something clear. He wasn’t asking Pastor Widmy to do everything. He was asking him to do something.

At our core, we believe every person deserves a chance to learn, grow, and thrive. We also believe poverty is not just physical. It is deeply spiritual and emotional. With the help of Luke 4:18-19, we try to heal the physical and spiritual brokenness of individuals around the globe.

So, in obedience, Oasis Ministry was formed. What started as a vision to support one village school in Baptiste, Haiti, has grown into a global effort. We chose the name “Oasis” because that’s what we aim to be: a place of life in dry places. A place where people can rest, be fed, be filled, and be sent forward stronger than before.

Every school we help build, every meal we provide, every prayer we send forward, it’s all part of the same mission: to make the Kingdom of God visible in places the world often forgets. We don’t want to just be remembered for what we gave. We want to be remembered for how we loved, and who we pointed to in the process.

Global Impact Highlights:

  • Haiti: Constructed bathrooms for village schools in Baptiste with a seed donation of $6,000.
  • Sierra Leone: Over $50,000 invested in education, agriculture, housing, feeding programs, and evangelism.
  • Ongoing: Partnerships with CHOWCHIN, local churches, pastors, and village leaders to sustain progress and bring the Gospel to every corner we reach.
